CCTV appeal following assault in Bournemouth

Officers are issuing a CCTV image of a man they would like to identify following an assault in Bournemouth.

It is reported that at around 1.10am on Sunday 18 January 2026, a man was punched by an unknown man outside Barbara’s Bier Haus in Old Christchurch Road.

The victim sustained a facial injury but did not require medical treatment.

Police Constable Madeleine Duncanson, of Dorset Police, said: “This was an unprovoked assault and we have been exploring all lines of enquiry to identify the person responsible.

“We are now in a position to release an image of a man we would like to identify as part of our investigation and I would ask anyone with information relating to his identity to please come forward.”
